Like many of my blog posts this came from a request from an attendee at one of my classes. She wanted to get a better understanding of how to clean up unwanted spaces in Excel – that’s the Trim() function. She also wanted to learn how to combine multiple entries so I gave her a three-for in this one: Use & in a formula

  • Use & in a formula
  • Use Concat (the formula formerly known as Concatenate…ah, those were the days…or should I say days()…
  • TextJoin – new kid on the block – part of the Office 365 suite – this allows you to enter ONE delimiter (what you want to separate your entries by e.g. space) instead of having to repeat as you do with Concat
