12 – COUNT TEXT IN EXCEL – USING THE COUNTA FUNCTION

Excel count text

If we want to count the number of names (or list of entries with mixed text and numbers), the count function will not work – simply because it is designed to count NUMBERS only.

In this case we have to use the CountA function. See video below
