## Subtraction in Excel

In this post we are going to learn how to subtract numbers from each other in Excel. Again, the key steps to remember are:

1. Click where you want the answer to go
2. Type in = (that tells Excel you are entering a formula)
3. Click on the cell you want to subtract from
4. Enter – (minus)
5. Click on the cell you want to subtract
6. Press Enter

## Multiply in Excel

In this tutorial we are going to look at how to multiply in Excel. There are a couple of basic guidelines you should follow when you are using formulas in Excel. As always there is a practice file at the end that you can try out.

1. One number per cell
2. Click where you want the answer to go
3. Begin with = (this tells Excel you are entering a formula)
4. Click on cells you want to use.
5. Press Enter when you are finished

## Fixing a cell in Excel – Absolute Cell Reference
